I spend my time with my two beautiful children and my siblings and parents. Family is very important to me and cultivates a sense of belonging and inclusiveness for me.
I enjoy finding and fixing artifacts and incorporating them into my life.
I also maintain an interactive public art practice based in technology and digital work.
I use design thinking process and agile management skills to help teams tell unique user stories through a variety of channels. Real innovative change happens with connections to audiences through empathy. In my experience great design solutions happen by interpreting data and applying them to viable products. The variety of experiences in my professional career have provided me with the knowledge and insight to be able to connect the dots of institutions, people, and services, with diverse design solutions.
Lifestyle + Interest
It is also important for me to be emotionally, mentally, and physically fulfilled. Cooking, baking, and of course eating, are necessary but also provide a creative outlet for me.
The Masters of Digital Experience Innovation at the University of Waterloo is an introduction into Digital Marketing, Digital Media, Innovation Design, User Experience Design + Research, User Interface Design, Product Design, Product Management.
As an independent contractor in User Experience, User Interface Designer, and digital implementation consulting roles (Wilfred Laurier University, Capco, (Co-operators Insurance), I designed experiences for users to navigate both native apps and web based applications seamlessly.
I spent my summer freelancing and working with my own clientele, building relationships. This also gave me the freedom to spend my summer with my children going to cottages, parks, community pools, picnics, bakeries and adventures with friends and family.
Professionally I am currently at a point in my career where I am ready to be apart of a collaborative team. It is important for me to believe in the product and the company I am working for.

Creating beautiful elegant physical and digital spaces with and ethos for doing good in the world are important to how I live my life.
I was raised as driven, hard working, and I get things done. I have a lot to learn, given the right opportunity I have a lot to give to the right company.
I don’t know where I see myself in 5-10 year, if you had asked me 5 -10 years ago where I would be it wouldn’t be here. I like to keep an open mind to new opportunities and experiences. Stay curious, take risks, always learn.

I would count one of my greatest achievements to date finishing my undergraduate and graduate degree as a single sole support parent. I am lucky that I have the support of smazing friends, family and mentors that helped me along the way.

I believe that there is value in both, it is dependant on the job. Some tasks require multi-tasking where others require more attention. Using the right hat for the right job.

Short term initiatives should support the long term goals of both the product and the company. Integration of marketing, product management, HR, are essential to fulfill a longer term initiatives.

It is key to keep the company moving towards the vision and mission, as well as having the openness to pivot. Living in a digital culture we consume media with our eyes. We are inundated with mediated messages. It is important to me to have a well rounded view of the bigger picture.
What do I Want?
I don’t know if there is anything I really want to do at this point in my life. What I do know I don’t know yet is if I want to do something, I find a way to make it happen.
I believe that it is important to have a a balance between work life. Having my own art practice I try to balance work and being a parent.
My dream is to live a full, rich, and balanced life and provide that life to my children
Habits + Routines
It is very important for me to maintain a structured routine. My work days I work in 30-1 hour intervals. I use project management tools and softwares to plan projects and balance client work.
Having a 6 year old and an 8 year keep things interesting between gymnastics, swimming, brownies and all of our other fun activities.
I love going to the Kitchener Market on Saturdays.
Sundays are a day I spend baking and making delicious soups and meals for my friends and family
Would you rather have a bird in the hand, or 2 in the bush?

I am at a point in my career where I want to be apart of a collaborative team. I believe that learning is a life long journey and participating and leaning from others is the best way to learn. I like to lead when I have something to teach.

Feared v.s. Respected
Feared by my children, respected by colleagues. In all seriousness I believe that there is time for both. Knowing when and where to use those personality tools is important.
Overall peace is the answer. Everyone should feel valued and accepted in their career.
Saturdays + Sundays
I am able to work on Saturdays and Sundays if it is planned. Routines and Schedules are important to me to be able to manage my home life and my work so it would have to be scheduled and adhered to.
